Geez.
I shouldn’t even really been posting stuff, since I’ve got to complete this assignment on Marx before tomorrow. I have left it rather late, but this really is nothing new for me. I’m analying the case of Modderklip in light of Marx. Modderklip was essentially a case about a whole bunch of squatters illegally living on a farm owned by Modderklip. The difficulty was that one couldn’t simply just kick the squatters off, because (I believe, and so did the court) we live in a society where we care for people, and to simply dump them on the side of the road doesn’t solve the problem and certainly doesn’t help the squatters either! So the court awarded Modderklip damages, and the squatters got to stay on the land for free.
Sweet deal, indeed.
But you must remember that our government has undertaken to provide housing to all, and it was government who should have taken the necessary steps to provide housing for these people. But what can we expect from our dear government? I quite hate our government these days. Seriously – the whole bunch of them. I never used to, you know. But now, especially with the whole Manto/ANC vs Nozizwe wars, they irk the shit out of me.
So yah… in case you haven’t noticed (which you have incidently – yay!
), I haven’t posted in ages. Fuggin shoot me if you will, but my life has been muchly active over the past two months, and my internet time has been consumed by facebook. Sad times. You can shoot me, if you wish.
But I’m going to make a concerted effort to keep blogging.
Goodbye for now.

Above one can find a picture of Shakti and I at Oribi Gorge. Sarah, Shakti and I recently went down there for what was perhaps one of the best holidays ever.
